The main challenge that the Commission will report on is the fact that boys are overrepresented in several negative statistics, including drop-out numbers and outcomes in the lower end of achievement distributions.
Before the Norwegian Government apply measures and initiate interventions, there is need for a better knoweldge base of factors contributing to gender disparities in school achievement and what can be done to prevent these disparities. Thus, the Commission aims to identify causes and efficient interventions.
